Introducing the Horizon: A Folding Fat-Tire Ebike Designed for Smooth Riding

by

HeyBike, a prominent e-mobility company, has recently launched the Horizon, an electric bicycle (ebike) that combines cutting-edge features for an unparalleled riding experience. What sets the Horizon apart is its unique combination of a Horst-Link suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, and a step-thru frame, making it the first of its kind in the market.

Equipped with a powerful 750-W rear-hub motor, the Horizon offers pedal-assist capabilities, allowing riders to effortlessly navigate through city streets, head to the beach, or venture into the wilderness. The motor peaks at an impressive 1,200 watts, ensuring a smooth and efficient riding experience. The ebike also boasts a high-capacity 691.2-Wh downtube battery, providing a pedal-assist range of up to 55 miles (88.5 km) at the lowest setting, or 30 miles (48 km) with throttle-only operation. For added convenience, the Horizon can be fully charged within 3-4 hours using the provided 54.6-V/4-A charger.

Designed for versatility, the Horizon features a Horst-Link rear suspension system that works in tandem with a suspension fork, effectively dampening vibrations and ensuring a comfortable ride on uneven terrains. Furthermore, the ebike is equipped with 4-inch fat tires on 20-inch wheels, providing excellent traction and stability. The hydraulic disc brakes offer reliable and responsive stopping power, ensuring the rider’s safety and confidence on the road.

HeyBike has kept the Horizon’s design practical and user-friendly. The low-step frame is foldable, allowing for easy transport and storage between rides. When folded, the ebike measures at compact dimensions of 49.2 x 23.6 x 31.5 inches (125 x 60 x 80 cm). Despite its robust features, the Horizon boasts a manageable weight of 79 lb (35.8 kg), making it easy to carry and store in a car’s trunk.

To cater to riders’ needs, the Horizon offers additional features such as a rear cargo rack for hauling goods and gear. An optional front basket is also available. The ebike includes an auto-adjusting headlight and braking tail-light, ensuring visibility during daytime and nighttime rides. Additionally, the Horizon can be paired with a smartphone via a companion mobile app, providing riders with essential information about the ebike’s status.

HeyBike has made the Horizon available for pre-order in a stunning finish inspired by the serenity of West Coast sunsets in the United States. The ebike is priced at $1,699, with general sales expected to commence on November 21. As the release date approaches, HeyBike will unveil the complete specifications of the Horizon, allowing customers to make informed decisions.

The Horizon sets a new standard for folding fat-tire ebikes, combining advanced features and innovative design to deliver a smooth, comfortable, and thrilling riding experience.
